Youth ‘Pillars for Building Kuwait’

youthKUWAIT: The political leadership devotes special concern for the young with respect of realizing their aspirations, the Minister of Information and Minister of State for Youth Affairs affirmed yesterday. Sheikh Salman Sabah Al-Salem Al-Humoud Al-Sabah, during a reception of congratulators for assuming the post and Eid Al-Fitr, expressed gratitude to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, HH the Deputy Amir and Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and HH the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah for their “precious trust,” pledging to do his best to upgrade the information and youth sectors.

“Now we have responsibility toward the homeland and confidence of His Highness the Amir who is keen on seeing Kuwait in continuous progress, and we share the responsibility of cooperation for serving public interest and the new phase is a stage of action,” Sheikh Salman stressed. He congratulated the Kuwaiti youngsters on the World Youth Day (WYD), affirming confidence in the youth “because they constitute the main factor for building the country,” and vowed to spare no effort for supporting the young generations.

HH the Prime Minister is seeking to form a permanent panel to furnish the young citizens with all possible backing, he said. Moreover, the government, upon guidelines of HH the Amir, has begun implementing the document of the National Youth Convention “Kuwait Listens,” he said. Underlining further the State keenness on tackling the youth affairs, the minister alluded in particular to HH the Amir stress on the youth sponsorship in his speech marking the last ten nights of Ramadan.

For its part, the Ministry of Youth Affairs has mapped out a strategy designed to realize the young nationals’ aspirations, in cooperation with relevant State departments. On other topics, Sheikh Salman indicated at plans for the State external information, in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, namely by assigning information attaches to serve as cadres in the foreign ministry. – KUNA
