War is the most violent crime committed against humanity. Before it escalates, rich families are able to leave their country and overseas to somewhere safe. The common people which comprises many of the population cannot readily do this. They are used to working to earn a living, bring food on the table, provide shelter for their families and send their children to school.

The Syrian armed conflict has been going on for 5 years now and recently, many drastic and life threatening voyages have been chosen by thousands of Syrians to escape war in the home country. Pictures of heart breaking scenes flood social media and all forms of publication to convey the message that displaced Syrians need the whole world’s help.

In the Philippines, UNHCR The UN Refugee Agency Philippines has called for help thru donations beginning this month of September 2015. September 9 – 13, Promenade Mall in San Juan City, Metro Manila. For more details on how to donate please visit UNHCR Philippines Facebook page.
