A New Nursery School to open soon is looking to hire

 

1) Principal – Key Responsibility: Administration, Operation and Management of the Nursery

Job Description: 

a. Providing administrative support for day-to-day operations.
b. Discuss & Implement strategies for generating enquiries & enhance enrollment
c. Record keeping and data management.
d. Planning of nursery calendar
e. Meeting statutorily compliances as per the ministry guidelines i.e. Programs, Safety, Hygiene, etc.
f. Supervision of all academic & administrative activities like Newsletters to parents, Staff meetings, PTM’s, Teacher evaluation, Develop, recruitment & training of staff members, curricula implementation etc.
g. Develop & implement work calendar schedule for staff
h. Maintain policies and procedures for program operation.
i. Encourage and provide opportunities for team building and staff collaboration
j. To be part of the management committee.
k. Vendor management.
l. Liaison between the Committee, the Nursery staff, and the Nursery families

Skills

  • Experience of 3- 5 years of managing a nursery or similar profile.
  • Excellent written & verbal Communication skills.
  • American, British or Canadian passport holder
    Should be a team player & inspiring leader.
  • Ability to work in demanding situations.
  • Able to show initiative, flexibility and ability to handle change keep the learning environment happy and active.

 

2) Nursery Teacher

Job Description:

  • Develop and implement a developmentally appropriate preschool program for young children
  • Plan and implement activities to meet the physical, emotional, intellectual and social needs of the children
  • Ensure equipment and the facility are clean, well maintained and safe at all times
  • Provide weekly and monthly schedules of activities
  • Develop culturally appropriate programs and activities
  • Develop activities that introduce math and literacy concepts
  • Establish policies and procedures including acceptable disciplinary policies
  • Be familiar with emergency procedures
  • 2 to 3 years’ experience
  • Arab nationality
  • Fluent in English & Arabic
  • Bachelor’s Degree

 

3) Female Secretary

Under the direction of the principal, performs a variety of clerical and support work involving both specific routines and broadly defined policies and procedures; greets and interacts with the public, works cooperatively with staff, students, and parents, and performs other related duties as assigned

  Meet and interact with public and employees in routine situations which require tact, discretion and courtesy.

  Give information and interpretations of policies or procedures related to departmental or school activities.

  Establish, maintain and monitor accurate, neat and efficient electronic and manual filing systems.

  Sort and classify incoming mail and other information for efficient disbursement to appropriate recipients.

  Prepare letters, memoranda, reports, bulletins, handbooks, questionnaires, requisitions and other materials from marginal notes, rough drafts, or verbal instructions.

  Compile information from various sources on a variety of standardized forms.

  Prepare accurate minutes of meeting.

  Ability to handle confidential information with complete security.

  Gather and prepare appropriate attendance/accounting information.

  Request monthly budget activity reports for program staff

  Enroll and discharge students. Request records from prior schools, distribute school records.

  Maintain classroom key distribution and record-keeping.

  Conform to District policy regarding attendance and absences. Employee attendance must be adequate to perform the above listed essential job functions.

  • 2 to 3 years’ experience
  • Arab Nationality
  • Fluent in English & Arabic
  • Self-motivated to achieve the goals
  • Knowledge and experience necessary.

 

4) Receptionist

  1. To provide reception cover and duties for telephones and visitors
  2. To answer the phone, handling straightforward queries and taking and passing on messages to other team members.
  3. To respond to visitors to the Nursery and giving information about the services.
  4. To provide administrative support to the Nursery.
  5. To attend and contribute to personal supervision and appraisal meetings

Skills

  • Computer literate including proficiency in MS Word Office applications (Word and Outlook).
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English & Arabic
  • Good reception skills and telephone manner.
  • Ability to perform varied basic administrative duties
  • Experience of working with diversity and the ability to understand and meet the needs of an ethnically and culturally diverse community.
  • Experience and knowledge of data protection
  • Good organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and take responsibility for specific areas of work.

 

5) Staff Assistant-  To contribute a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care for children in the nursery.

Main duties:

  1. To contribute to a program of activities suitable to the age range of children in your class in conjunction with other staff
  2. To keep a proper record of achievement file on your key children for parents
  3. Support all staff and engage in a good staff team
  4. Liaise with and support parents and other family members
  5. To attend ALL out of working hours activities, e.g. training, monthly staff meetings, parents’ evenings, fairs, etc.
  6. To be flexible within the working practices of nursery.  Be prepared to help where needed, including undertaking certain domestic jobs within the nursery, e.g. preparation of snack meals, cleaning of equipment, etc.
  7. Work alongside the manager and staff team to ensure that the philosophy behind the project is fulfilled
  8. Recording accidents in the accident book. Ensure the manager has installed the report before the parent receives it
  9. Look upon the nursery as a ‘whole’, be constantly aware of the needs of the children
  10. Ensure each child is collected by someone known to the nursery
  11. To respect the confidentiality of information received
  12. Specific child care tasks:
    1. The preparation and completion of activities to suit the child’s stage of development
    2. To ensure that mealtimes are a time of pleasant social sharing
    3. Washing and changing children as required
  13. To ensure the provision of a high quality environment to meet the needs of individual children and stages of development
  14. To be aware of the high profile of the nursery and to uphold its standards at all times
  • 2 to 3 years’ experience
  • Arab or Asian Nationality
  • Fluent in English & Arabic
