The State of Kuwait is predominantly Muslim but it is also grateful to note that the country is very understanding of its expatriate population with regards to their Faith and religious practices. The Apostolic Vicariate of Northern Arabia (AVONA) was established on 31 May 2011. Under the Vicariate are the following countries; Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar and Saudi Arabia.

Bishop Camillo Ballin, MCCJ, a Combonian Bishop of the Latin Rite is the Pastoral Head of the Vicariate. The Order of Friars Minor (OFM) Capuchin, Diocesan Priests, Priests from the Carmelite Order and Salesian Priests are among those who celebrate Holy Mass and other religious rites. The Cathedral and Bishop’s House are in Kuwait City.

Holy Family Cathedral Parish in Kuwait City serves the faithful of the following areas;Suleibikhat, Sharq, Safat, Bneid Al Gar, Shuwaikh, Khaitan, Farwaniya, Riggai, Omariya, Doha, Kaifan, Jahra, Mirqab, Andalus, Dasman, Shamiya, Yarmouk, Ardiya, Surra, Jabriya & Hawally.

Children’s Mass – 9.15 a.m. at Holy Family Hall (HFH)
Arabic (Latins) – 10.30 a.m.
Baptism – 12.00 p.m.
Arabic (Coptic) – 1.00 p.m.
Tagalog Mass – 3.00 p.m.
Korean Mass – 3.00 p.m. at Good Shepherd Hall (GSH)
Sinhala – 4.30 p.m. at Virgin Mary’s Hall (VMH)
Malayalam (Latins) – 4.45 p.m.
Tamil – 3rd, 4th, 5th Friday – 4.30 p.m. at Holy Family Hall
English Youth Mass – 6.00 p.m.
Konkani – 7.00 p.m. at Virgin Mary Hall
Arabic (Maronite) – 7.15 p.m.
