Oman, a popular exit destination for OFWs

The UAE is giving opportunity for Filipinos who entered the Emirates on Visit Visa but have been able to seek employment in the country following the newly-amended Labor laws. However, those who wish to extend their stay in the UAE must make a voluntary exit to obtain a new Visa.

Oman, also a member of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries has become a popular exit destination because of its budget – friendly costs, cleanliness and serenity. Many travel agencies are offering low rates for exit travel to Oman in order to invite more Visit Visa holders to avail.

From the Dubai, UAE one travels along the sandy coast to the Oman border. The small, peaceful country brings vessels and people in aboard cruise ships, thus, tourists are most welcome in Oman. Other places of interest are Royal Opera House in the capital Muscat, Muttrah Souq which is a traditional Arab market, and of course, the Grand Mosque.
