Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) are among the people who have much respect for “New Year’s Resolutions” – but they call these “Personal Goals”. OFWs like many Filipinos, want to have happier lives that is why they try their best to make the New Year better than the previous year.
Below is the list of OFW Personal Goals for 2018;
1. Be more positive.
Problems are the reason why some OFWs feel negative about the past year. As 2018 sets in, they want to attract good vibes and having a positive attitude is one of the best way to become stronger and feel brighter.
2. Proper Time Management.
OFWs have busy life in the host country because of their work schedule and responsibility. Many of them admit to have poor timing for their family and loved ones back home. Aside from the time difference for video calls, many OFWs turn to social media to spend more time with their family and loved ones while living apart.
3. Better Health.
“Health is Wealth” most especially for an OFW because it is very difficult to get sick when no one can take care of you. Try to vices that are not good for your health. Sleep more and eat well.
Live simply and responsibly. Even if you have the money to buy latest gadgets, clothes, accessories, shoes and bags, try to save more so your finances will improve. Others will list as diet and career move.
5. The basic three rules – Patience, Perseverance and Willingness to Change.
“Patience is a virtue” as the most popular saying goes. But it is true that patience takes a lot of effort to come by. Being patient means you learn to wait and waiting is humility.
Perseverance is working hard and being determined to improve your Faith, yourself and your relationship with people.
Change is the only permanent thing in this world and you can make it happen. Just believe in yourself and in the goodness of every person you meet – you will be able to change for the better.
We do not need to wait for the New Year to improve ourselves – we can all start now and every day of our life.
Happy New Year, Kabayan!
