Expatriate parents sending their children to private schools here in Kuwait can be assured of no increase in tuition fees. According to Director General Abdallah Al-Busairi, of Private Education Department at Ministry of Education, said the circular sent to all private schools stated to cancel fees increase and refund parents if ever there is excess of payment dues. He also informed that the schools who will not comply with the circular may be answerable for their actions.
It is reported that the Ministry of Education is finding ways to establish a standard increase of fees for all private schools in Kuwait and until the final decision is met, there should be no collection of increase from parents. Private schools are encouraged to comply with the said circular so that their transactions will be honored in all State ministries.
According to a netizen named Toni, the Philippine International English School (PIES) in Fahaheel, Kuwait had just increased the tuition fees by 3% for SY 2016-2017, and has implemented to collect the raise on the 3rd trimester installment.
