Recent news have determined that expats knowledgeable in education and medical profession will continue to in demand here in Kuwait for this year and even the next. The Ministry on Education have confirmed too that only expats teaching some classes that can be taught and handled by citizens, GCC nationals and Bedoons will experience lay off.
Expat doctors, nurses and other medical professionals and support staff are known to be hardworking and responsible in their jobs here in Kuwait. Many expats work in private hospitals and some sources explained that with the move to privatize public hospitals, appointing expat doctors and nurses in the public sector would drop and lessen state budget expenses.
However, expats laid off from work can neither renew their residency visas nor be hired in any other place the whole of Kuwait.
