Filipinos in Kuwait welcome Cesar Guarin

Kuwait-Global runner Cesar Guarin visited Filipinos in Kuwait for his Kuwait leg run.

The Filipino communities in Kuwait, together with the POLO-OWWA Kuwait and the Philippine Embassy, conducted a beach clean up drive on April 26 at Seaside (near McDonald’s) Salmiya, Kuwait. This is for the celebration of the Philippine Labor Day.

Part of the program was the anticipated arrival of global runner, Cesar Guarin, who was the special guest of the event. He also came to Kuwait for his Kuwait leg, Middle East run. The runner was welcomed by over 1,200 people who participated in the event.

Cesar gave an inspirational message to the Filipinos in Kuwait as well as to his sponsors and the officers and staff of the Philippine embassy who supported hi cause.

The next day, April 27, Cesar, together with fellow runner Jodee Magtoto, conquered the road on day 18 of his run in the Middle East. They ran along Highway 40 from Ali Al-Salem and they headed to Khiran Resort. They started around 9:40am and finished the last day of Kuwait leg at 5:35 pm. They were able to complete their target 50-km run.
