NURSING POWER: Our nurses prepare for the Board exams ( Special Professional Licensure Board Examination or SPLBE ) this coming September, with review classes in Kuwait.

For the first time, the exams will be held in Kuwait to enable candidates already working in hospitals here to take the exams. Filipino nurses are in demand here and all over the world.

The exams are also under the stewardship of Labatt Cesar Chavez, Philippine Labor Chief in Kuwait, who spearheads similar initiatives with other professional groups here.

Philippine Nursing Association (PNA) -Kuwait SPLBE chair Kirsten Chua (left), one of the chief reviewers for the exam, leads reviewers and candidates on a break after hours of hectic study.

PNA -Kuwait also has a working relationship with the Embassy on medical training for rescues, repatriation, and assistance to OFWs, with PNA chief Henji Taton and his teams.
